Introduction

Hello, my name is Alexander Bala, in this video, I will present an interesting website that can be useful in a multitude of jobs.

I am currently studying in the field of accounting and management technology for about 2 years.

I study in this field because I am interested in becoming an accountant. An accountant is an important job in this day in age. They help organize and place financial information on paper so it can be easily summarized. By doing, so they will be able to know if the company is making a profit or deficit.

The Problem

It can seem quite simple, but many accountants have to write long texts to their clients and superiors. This can be an issue if they can't write without making grammar errors.

Most big corporations in this day mainly speak in English.

Having many grammatical errors could make you look bad in front of those firms.

Luckily, I had a teacher in "CEGEP" that showed a website that managed to help me get rid of the grammar issues in my texts.

The Quest

This website is free and more importantly easy to use. First, you will have to click on the URL located at the top middle of the screen. You will write Virtual writing tutor and you click enter on your keyboard. When arriving to the page I am right now, you will click the first link you find.

You will see a quite simple page with some icons that will let you share this website to your friends and family. There is also a navigation menu that has many interesting features like making your own glossary, job interview script and much more. But we will stay focused on the grammar check section which is the first page that opens when you click on the link.

The Solution

You will first copy and paste the text you want to correct or, you can just type from the beginning in the text area located in the middle of the screen. Let’s say I simply write “Dear mister Brown, there is a huge deficit issue in your income statement”. And let’s switch the "e" with an "a" in "statement". After this, we will click on the check grammar button which, will directly correct our text. In the feedback, we can see just next to the suggestion the correct way to write the word statement. Afterward, you use the scroll bar to go back up and change it in the text area. And we can see there are no more issues. You could also use the voice to speak "icon" so you can learn the correct way to pronounce some words that can look complicated like “Backwardation” which will also make you look way more professional when saying words with accurate pronunciation.
